USER AGREEMENT AND PRIVACY POLICY DISCLOSURE

By registering on and starting to use this site, you are deemed to have fully understood and accepted all the terms and conditions stated below. An agreement is hereby concluded between Vademecum Yayıncılık A.Ş. (hereinafter referred to as “Vdm”) and the corporate or individual Member (hereinafter referred to as “MEMBER”) under the provisions set forth below.

USER AGREEMENT

This agreement regulates the terms and conditions of membership to www.vademecumonline.com.tr and www.vademecumgroup.com, whose publishing rights belong to Vdm.

Any person visiting the aforementioned websites or requesting to benefit from the services offered on these websites shall be deemed to have accepted all the provisions of this “Membership Agreement” in full.

The MEMBER may not use real names or surnames that do not belong to them as a username. Providing a valid and active email address is mandatory. The MEMBER confirms the accuracy of the information provided during registration and accepts in advance any consequences of inaccurate information, assuming full responsibility for the use of their email address and password.

All content on this site, including (but not limited to) texts (with or without citation), original names, graphics, logos, images, photographs, figures, technical and scientific drawings, audio clips, animations, video and music recordings, software, program codes, appearance, design, system and technical elements, compilations in terms of selection, arrangement, and assembly, and related industrial designs and rights, belong exclusively to VDM or its content providers. They are protected by applicable Turkish legislation, international copyright and trademark laws, and international agreements.

The use, quotation, reproduction, copying, modification, storage, uploading, mailing, distribution, transfer, republication, display, adaptation, processing, representation, commercial possession, or sale of the above elements, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, without VDM’s written consent, as well as facilitation or encouragement of such acts, is strictly prohibited.

The information provided on this site is intended for healthcare professionals. VDM declares that it exercises due diligence to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the published information. However, due to the rapid pace of medical developments, differences in approaches between medical schools, or errors, omissions, delays, or updates in the information published by the Ministry of Health or other relevant institutions, the information on this site may differ from the user’s own knowledge and opinions. The information provided cannot replace conventional, widely accepted medical and pharmaceutical sources, nor consultation with healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, etc.). VDM and its editors cannot be held responsible for the content.

The responsibility for all content published on the website with cited sources belongs to the source itself. Vdm accepts no liability for consequences arising from inaccurate information in such content.

Links provided to or from the website do not imply any legal relationship with such third parties, nor does Vdm guarantee or assume responsibility for the acts, commitments, reliability, or obligations of such third parties. No commitment shall be binding on Vdm unless expressly provided in writing by Vdm.

Vdm reserves the right to make changes to the website at any time. Such changes shall become valid and binding from the date of their publication on the website. It is the responsibility of the user/service recipient to follow such changes. Vdm has no obligation to notify users separately. By continuing to use Vdm’s services, parties accept and declare their consent to these changes.

If abnormal data transfer or an activity violating its interests is detected, VDM reserves the right to terminate the MEMBER’s access and membership without prior notice.

Vdm may, without prior notice or consent, change the purpose, features, structure, functions, or content of the website, request information or documents from users, suspend operation, block user access, or cancel the website altogether. No rights or claims can be asserted against Vdm in such cases. Vdm shall not be held responsible for problems arising from technical reasons, third-party acts, or force majeure. In cases of delays caused by reasons other than these, MEMBERS’ rights will be preserved.

All intellectual property and copyright, whether registered or unregistered, regarding titles, trade names, brands, patents, logos, designs, information, and methods on the Vdm website belong to Vdm or the respective right holders and are protected under national and international law. Visiting or using the websites does not grant any rights to the user regarding these intellectual property rights. Even with citation, they may not be used. By visiting or using the website, users agree not to infringe upon these rights.

In case of a dispute arising from the use of the website between Vdm and the user, Turkish Law shall apply, and Istanbul courts and enforcement offices shall have jurisdiction. In such disputes, electronic records and computer printouts kept by Vdm shall be accepted as conclusive evidence.

Membership is only valid for healthcare professionals (doctors, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, nurses, medical students, etc.). By accepting membership, the individual declares that they are a healthcare professional.

PRIVACY POLICY DISCLOSURE

This Privacy Policy Disclosure has been prepared by Vademecum Yayıncılık A.Ş. (“Vademecum”), acting as the data controller, to determine the principles regarding the processing of your personal data and non-personal statistical data through the website vademecumonline.com.tr (“Vademecum Online”), in compliance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and other applicable regulations, and to inform the relevant individuals. By checking the approval box during registration, you are deemed to have fully understood and accepted all the matters stated below.

1 – DATA CONTROLLER

Your personal data is processed by Vademecum, located at Kazlıçeşme Mah. 245. Sok. No:5 Zeytinburnu / Istanbul, acting as the data controller within the scope of KVKK.

2 – PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes (“Purposes”):

  • Conducting Vademecum’s commercial activities in accordance with the Turkish Commercial Code and other applicable legislation,

  • Improving customer relations and service quality,

  • Personalizing Vademecum’s services and related promotions or recommendations,

  • Complying fully with obligations imposed by applicable legislation and competent authorities,

  • Fulfillment of Vademecum’s contractual rights and obligations,

  • Creating anonymous statistics and user profiles,

  • Contacting you for commercial purposes with your explicit consent.

3 – TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

For the above purposes, your personal data may be transferred, in compliance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to third-party business partners including but not limited to attorneys, financial advisors, intermediary payment institutions, our domestic and foreign affiliates, individuals and/or legal entities (domestic or abroad), as well as legally authorized public authorities and private individuals.

4 – METHODS AND LEGAL BASES OF DATA COLLECTION

Your personal data is collected partially or fully through automated methods via membership forms, contact forms, payment pages, and Vademecum services on Vademecum Online. Your data is processed based on KVKK Art. 5/2-(c) and (ç) legal grounds, and where necessary, upon your explicit consent.

5 – VADEMECUM SERVICES

All transactions performed by users on Vademecum services are logged with related data (IP, referrer, time, cookie, etc.) and stored.

Vademecum services are open to sponsorships, and general or personalized promotions may be presented using data obtained from application records.

Your payment information is not stored on Vademecum servers for your security but is transferred to intermediary payment institutions during the transaction process.

6 – AMENDMENTS

Vademecum reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy Disclosure in whole or in part, in line with changes in legislation, practices of relevant authorities, or for the improvement of its services and protection of its legitimate interests. Such amendments will be incorporated into this text immediately.

7 – EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

As the data subject, you may exercise the following rights under Article 11 of the KVKK regarding your personal data processed by Vademecum:

  • To learn whether your personal data has been processed,

  • To request information if your personal data has been processed,

  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with the purpose,

  • To know the third parties to whom data is transferred domestically or abroad,

  • To request correction if your personal data has been processed inaccurately or incompletely and to request notification of such correction to third parties,

  • To request deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons for processing cease to exist, and to request notification of such deletion/destruction to third parties,

  • To object to any result to your detriment arising exclusively from automated processing,

  • To demand compensation in case of damages due to unlawful processing of personal data.

You may submit your requests regarding your rights and personal data processed by Vademecum to Vademecum’s address stated above via notary or registered mail, or by sending an email to info@vademecumonline.com.tr, together with identity-verifying documents. Your applications will be responded to within the legal period depending on their nature.
